Back for its fourth year, the Blitzen Bar is bringing some holiday cheer to 409 on Adams at Lackawanna College. This unique, visual experience isn’t your typical pop-up pub. Through creative cocktails, small plates and lovably kitschy decor, the holiday-themed hideaway tells the story of Santa’s least favorite reindeer, Blitzen.

In his dimly lit “home” visitors will find clues from his collection of paintings, books and more, all indications of how he spends his off-season. Leading up the back of the pack isn’t always the easiest job so to relieve the stress of the holiday season, Blitzen put together some festive cocktails and delicious small dishes. From Moose Milk and Santa’s Cough Syrup to buffalo chicken dip and Swedish meatballs, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Patrons can mix and mingle and get into that holiday spirit Wednesday through Saturday from 5pm to midnight until December 24. We couldn’t pass up the chance to explore this one-of-a-kind event and of course, we brought the camera along. Check it out!
