Picture This: Bartari Opens as NEPA’s First Arcade-Themed Bar

Bartari Gives Retro Video Games a Reboot

On October 24, we dropped by the soft opening at Bartari, a new bar, restaurant and arcade in downtown Scranton. The venue is filled with vintage video games from the ‘80s and ’90s.

Bartari (a blend of the words “bar” and “Atari”) transformed the former Molly Brannigan’s pub into a gamer’s paradise. The stylish new space is home to classic arcade games like Donkey Kong, Frogger, Pac-Man, Super Mario Brothers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Tron and more. They even have rare cult classics and an AC/DC pinball machine. There are about 50 games on the floor and even more being refurbished and swapped out behind the scenes.

Bartari is open for lunch, dinner and drinks. A grand opening will be announced soon.
