Top Blues Artists Take the Stage in Nescopeck
After a year’s hiatus, the Briggs Farm Blues Festival came roaring back in 2021. This outdoor music fest brought nationally recognized blues, roots and Americana artists to the rolling hills of Nescopeck. Thousands of fans showed up, braved a little rain and jammed out at what’s been dubbed “the best weekend of the year.”
This year’s festival kicked off on Thursday, July 8 and continued through Saturday, July 10. The lineup included performers like Shemekia Copeland, Ana Popovic and The Campbell Brothers, just to name a few. This year, a new, larger main stage added to the excitement.
The Briggs Farm Blues Festival started in the summer of 1998 with six acts and a single stage. Over the years, it has grown into a three-day celebration with 20+ acts. But this festival still stays true to their roots, creating an unforgettable, family-friendly experience on the historic Briggs family farm. A lot goes into planning the big weekend—just check out our behind-the-scenes interview from earlier this year.
We stopped by the farm to catch a few sets. Check out our photos for a glimpse at some of the festival highlights.
