NEPA Weekend Round-Up 6.14.19

Summer’s Here - Get Out There and Enjoy It

Support local artists this weekend at Pittston’s Second Friday Art Walk. Artists, musicians, and food vendors line Main Street in Pittston, making for an incredible night. On Sunday, treat yourself to brunch and support the Black Scranton Project. Profits made from the Juneteenth Brunch will directly benefit the Project’s exhibitions and more.

Grab the family and head on over to Hillside Farms for Family Movie Night in the Coach Barn. If thrillers are your thing, the Mahoning Drive-In Theater is celebrating its 70th season with Bite Night. The drive-in will be showing classics like Jurassic Park and Jaws.

Maternal and Family Health Services is hosting its annual Healthy Heroes Walk at PNC Field. Superheroes are encouraged to wear their masks and capes to this family friendly fundraising event. Yoga lovers and hikers alike will come together for the annual Yoga Hike on the D&H Rail-Trail. Play paintball and ride the Zipline for half the price at Whitewater Rafting Adventures, or bike to the Plymouth Flats at Y Cycle Sunday.

We can’t forget about Dad this weekend. Treat Dad to delicious strawberries, live music, prizes and more this weekend at Rohrbach’s Strawberry Festival and Father’s Day Celebration. For music lovers, the Honesdale Roots and Rhythm festival is a must-go. Get good food and even better music all in one place.
