This weekend is full of events for fitness buffs, foodies, and even four-legged friends!
Lace up your sneakers! There are plenty of opportunities to stay active this weekend. Grab your board and stop by the grand opening of Keystone Rampworks, Wilkes-Barre’s new indoor skate park. If you’re ready to log a few miles, take a riverside run on Saturday at the PurpleStride Northeastern PA 5K. On Sunday, hit the trails at Montage Mountain’s Black Diamond Running Series 5K.
The calendar is jam-packed with food festivals, so bring your appetite. It all starts Friday at noon with the Edwardsville Pierogi Festival. Stop by to celebrate NEPA’s favorite potato-and-cheese-stuffed snack. Later in the evening, check out Food Truck Friday at Creekside Gardens. On Friday and Saturday, get your fill of gyros and moussaka at the annual Greek Food Festival in Scranton.
Your canine companions can join the fun too! Bring your dog to Maiolatesi Winery’s Pittie Palooza Festival on Saturday at noon. Live music and wine are even better when you can enjoy them with your pup.

Celebrate one of NEPA’s favorite foods at the Edwardsville Pierogi Festival. Festivities kick off on Friday at noon. The fun continues on Saturday with a parade and pierogi cook-off.

You’ll find a treasure trove of handcrafted goods and local products at 900 Marketplace. Browse over 80 vendors and artists. Grab a quick bite at the food trucks, and listen to live music at this creative venue in Forty Fort.

Pittie Palooza Festival at Maiolatesi Winery
You and your dog will have a tail-wagging good time at the third annual Pittie Palooza Festival. This outdoor festival features live music, wine, food trucks, vendors, and rescue dogs that are available for adoption. Proceeds from ticket sales benefit local animal rescue organizations.

Black Diamond Running Series at Montage Mountain
Black Diamond Running Series is kicking off their season with a 5K on Sunday morning. This challenging course will have you scrambling up the ski slopes and tackling the rugged mountain trails. After the race, you can cool off with free admission to Montage Mountain Waterpark.
