We’re starting the holiday season off strong in NEPA! Fantastic light displays, holiday shopping, shows, and much more! We rounded up 10 seasonal, super fun events to help you get your holiday cheer on. Santa Christmas Tree Express
Friday, November 25 at 10 a.m.
Hop aboard the Stourbridge Line in Honesdale for their Santa Christmas Tree Express! This magical experience includes a train ride, your very own Christmas tree from a local farm, and a special visit from Santa! Once you pick out your dream tree, the crew will bale, tag, and place it back on the train for you to take to your vehicle once the train arrives back at the station.
Santa Christmas Tree Express runs through Saturday, December 24.

Winter Wonderland
Friday, November 25 & Saturday, November 26 at 11 a.m.
Stop by downtown Honesdale for some classic holiday fun at their Winter Wonderland event! A visit from Santa, shopping, and music are just some of the fun in store.

The Nutcracker
Friday, November 25 — Sunday, November 27 at 2 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.
This holiday favorite is returning to The Theater at North via the Ballet Theatre of Scranton! Watching The Nutcracker is one of the best ways to get into the holiday spirit. From the costumes to the music, you definitely wont be disappointed.

Festival of Lights
Friday November 25 – Sunday November 27 at 5 p.m.
Start your holiday season off with an evening under the lights as Stone Hedge Golf Course in Tunkhannock kicks off their Festival of Lights. Enjoy the dazzling displays with millions of lights from inside your vehicle. At the end, there’s food, drinks, vendors and s’mores by the fire.
Festival of Lights runs through December 31.

Peckville Christmas House
Friday, November 25 – Sunday, November 27 at 5 p.m.
The Peckville Christmas House is kicking off their spectacular light display this Friday! This iconic holiday tradition is a favorite for locals and visitors alike. You won’t want to miss out on this free event.
Peckville Christmas House runs through January 7.

FA LA LA 5K
Saturday, November 26 at 9 a.m.
Get out your most festive attire and sneakers for the FA LA LA 5K at the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds! Get in on the holiday spirit while running or walking merrily through. This event is open to all ages and abilities.

North Pole Express
Saturday, November 26 at 10 a.m. & Sunday, November 27 at 12 p.m.
Hop aboard a train filled with holiday whimsy! Caroling, stories, and characters await. The train will depart in Bloomsburg and travel to Catawissa for an hour of Christmas magic.

Holiday Market at Midtown
Saturday, November 26 at 11 a.m.
Head to South Main Street in Wilkes-Barre for the city’s biggest holiday market! Pop-up vendors, live music, and much more await. Bring your little ones for pictures with Santa and caroling!

Buy Local Holiday Marketplace
Sunday, November 27 at 11 a.m.
The area’s finest wineries, artisans, and businesses will be at the Scranton Cultural Center this weekend to help you get your holiday shopping done. This 10th annual marketplace will span five floors which means there’s so much to see! You won’t want to miss out.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra
Sunday, November 27 at 3 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.
The Trans-Siberian Orchestra is back and better than ever for their “Ghosts of Christmas Eve – the Best of TSO & More.” tour! Head to the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre to hear this legendary group play their very best songs.
