NEPA Weekend Round-Up 11.02.18

The kids are still in a sugar coma, so go ahead and treat yourself this weekend

Kick back and relax with this weekend’s beer, wine, and food festivals. On Saturday and Sunday, 44 craft breweries will offer tastings at the Great Brews Beer Festival at Split Rock Resort. Try making your own IPA at Learn to Homebrew Day at Breaker Brewing Company on Saturday.

If wine’s more your thing, try The Underground Experience at Blue Ridge Winery on Saturday and Sunday. This exclusive wine tasting will give you a little taste of luxury. Indulge in gourmet food and delicious drinks at A Taste of Greater Pittston on Sunday. Tons of local restaurants, breweries, and wineries will offer samples to benefit the Pittston Memorial Library.

The arts and culture scene has something for everyone this weekend. First Friday Scranton will feature art exhibits and live music throughout the Electric City. If you need a good laugh, head to Wisecrackers Comedy Club at Mohegan Sun Pocono. Dan Wilson is headlining on Friday and Saturday night. On Sunday, the hit musical Something Rotten!  brings a little bit of Broadway to the F.M. Kirby Center.

It’s never too early to start thinking about ski season! Stock up on winter gear at The Ski Shack’s Grand Re-Opening Celebration on Saturday. For even more frosty fun, catch a Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins home game. They take on the Hartford Wolf Pack on Friday and Saturday.
