Celebrate the Season with Foliage, Festivals, Hoodies and Halloween

Soak up all of the fall you can handle at some amazing autumn festivals. Stop by the ever-popular Jim Thorpe Fall Foliage Festival on Saturday and Sunday. Haggle your way through countless craft vendors all weekend long at the Covered Bridge Festival at Knoebels Amusement Resort. Then, look for your perfect Jack O’ Lantern in Lehighton at the Great Pocono Pumpkin Festival all October long.

Check out one of the Pocono’s most adorable towns this Saturday at the Hawley Harvest Hoedown. Then, get your pickle fix at the famous Pickle Me Pocono Festival in East Stroudsburg.

Stop by The Lands at Hillside Farms on Saturday and get the hands-on experience of running a working dairy farm. Bring your detective skills to the Downtown Hazleton Scavenger Hunt and Spirit Walk on Friday. And then keep on walking directly to the SPCA’s 29th Annual Walk for the Animals on Saturday.

October is a runner’s month, and there’s no shortage of 5Ks all over NEPA. Get out there for a good cause at the Howland Preserve 5 Mile. Help out our most honorable furry friends and do some early trick or treating at Nay Aug Park’s Halloween Sprint for Service Dogs 5k. And do not miss the opportunity to catch the famous Paint Pittston Pink & Color Me Pink 5k.

When the evening rolls around, head to downtown Scranton for the wildly fun Fringe Fest. Performances continue throughout the weekend at various venues all over Scranton.
