Fall Arrives with a Weekend Full of Baseball, Wine, Live Music and the Bloomsburg Fair
Catch a little fall ball this weekend as the RailRiders take on the Syracuse Mets at PNC Field. Head out to Montage Mountain Resorts on Saturday and sip your way through their annual Fall Wine Festival. And, on Sunday, stop by the LSEO Building in Wilkes-Barre for the quirky Oddities & Delights Craft Fair.
Check out Scranton’s performing arts scene in unique, pop-up shows on some of the city’s most unconventional stages during Fringe Under Glass. Hop on the famous Stourbridge Line in Honesdale for a scenic, 1.5-hour excursion on the Foliage Express. Bring the bike out on Sunday for a great cause during the non-competitive Tour de Scranton.
Spend Friday night up in the trees at Blue Mountain Resort in Palmerton for their popular Night Time Zip & Climb. Bring the kids and a few blankets to Pittston’s Slope Amphitheater on Saturday night for the city’s Free Outdoor Movie. Then, head to Karl Hall in Wilkes-Barre on Sunday to catch live, local music in the venue’s Out Back concert series.
It just wouldn’t be late September in NEPA without a visit to one of the largest fairs in the state. Get to the Bloomsburg Fair all week for live music, midway games, rides, animals and, of course, plenty of that famous fair food.

Make your way through Downtown Scranton’s performing arts scene via socially-distant, unconventional stages in storefront windows and outdoor spaces. Enjoy uniquely local performance art, experimental live theater, improvisation and more.
Night Time Zip & Climb
Friday, September 24 at 7 p.m.
Explore the forest after dark at Blue Mountain Resort in Palmerton. Their high ropes course and zip lines will be decked out with laser lights and glow sticks for the ultimate adventure. This event books up fast, so advance tickets are highly recommended.

Make your way to Bloomsburg for one of NEPA’s most popular county fairs. This 9-day celebration of Pennsylvania agriculture features hundreds of food and craft vendors, live entertainment, animal exhibits and so much more.
Pocono Foliage Express
Saturday, September 25 & Sunday, September 26 at 1 p.m.
Enjoy a 1.5-hour round trip, fall foliage excursion on the famous Stourbridge Line in Honesdale. The trip carries passengers along the stunning Lackawaxen River to view the changing leaves of the eastern Pocono Mountains.
Free Outdoor Movie – The Secret Garden
Saturday, September 25 at 8 p.m.
Spread out a blanket in the grass and watch a movie under the stars at The Slope Amphitheater in Pittston. They’re showing the 2020 version of The Secret Garden, a whimsical movie based on the beloved children’s novel. Admission, popcorn and drinks are all free.
Oddities & Delights Craft Fair with The Strange & Unusual
Sunday, September 26 at 10 a.m.
Peruse curiosities, oddities and antiques of all shapes and sizes at this unique craft fair in Wilkes-Barre. Join Kingston’s The Strange & Unusual and NEPA CraftWorks at the LSEO Building parking lot.
Tour de Scranton
Sunday, September 26 at 10 a.m.
Hop on your bike, hit the road and support the Erin Jessica Moreken Drug & Alcohol Treatment Fund in this non-competitive bike ride throughout Lackawanna County. Choose from five bike routes of varying distance and difficulty, or participate in the River Walk.
