Welcome in the fall season with these fun festivals!
The Valley is going to be a hub of activity this weekend! The fun starts on Friday at the Pittston City Second Friday Art Walk, a family-friendly event celebrating the local arts and culture scene. On Saturday, check out food and entertainment from around the world at the Wilkes-Barre Multicultural Parade and Festival. If you need a little Zen this weekend, head to NEPA Vegfest in Dunmore. They’ll have yoga classes, inspirational speakers, and vegan foods to help you feel refreshed.
Crisp air and craft brews will put you in the mood for fall! NEPA is hosting three awesome beer and wine festivals this weekend. It just wouldn’t be autumn without Oktoberfest at Susquehanna Brewing Co. Grab a stein and enjoy traditional music and games. Downtown Pottsville, home of the Yuengling Brewery, is holding the Pottsville on Tap festival on Saturday. The NEPA Wine Train departs from the Carbondale Train Station on Saturday. This train ride through Lackawanna County features wine tastings, food samples, and live music at each stop.
Catch a concert this weekend with NEPA’s lively music scene. The Pocono Folk Festival at Delaware Water Gap features blues, rock, and Americana artists all day on Saturday. For some throwback vibes, put on your dancing shoes and head to Swingin’ in NEPA at the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel. They’re hosting a night of swing music and dancing on Saturday.

It’s that time of year again! Susquehanna Brewing Co. is hosting an Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday at noon. They’ll have plenty of food and beer, as well as traditional music and Bavarian beer hall games (think you can win at keg bowling?). They’ll have shuttles from the Kmart parking lot.

Swingin' in NEPA
This Saturday, the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel is hosting Swingin’ in NEPA. It’s an entire night of classic swing music and dancing. A portion of the proceeds benefits Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer.
Tails and Trails 5K Run and Walk
Bring your pup to the Back Mountain Trail on Saturday for the Tails and Trails 5K Run and Walk. This 5K race and dog walk benefits the Anthracite Scenic Trail Association and Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge. Registration begins at 7:45 a.m. at the former Knights of Columbus building in Luzerne. The race takes off at 9 a.m.
Nothing says fall in NEPA like pumpkins, apple cider, and a trip to Roba Family Farms. This pumpkin patch opens for the season at 10 a.m. on Friday. Be the first to find your way through this year’s corn maze and try out their other fall-themed attractions. Check out special Farmtastic Friday rates on admission.
