This Weekend, NEPA’s Bringing Live Tunes, Brewery Tours, Farmers Market Goodies and So Much More

Jam out this weekend with an awesome lineup of live music. Head to Wilkes-Barre on Friday for the next installment of the Rockin’ the County Series. Then, make your way to Penn’s Peak in Jim Thorpe all weekend for the popular and free Social Listening Series. Finish the weekend with a pair of Sunday concerts. Catch Aaron Lewis Live at the Circle Drive-In and then head over to Scranton’s Fellows Park for a free summer concert.

Get a good look at Scranton’s historical side on Friday during a popular walking tour. Spoil yourself with a little Saturday shopping. Hit up the Stroudsburg Old Time Farmers Market and fill up on fresh goodies. Then, go pick up a good read at the Albright Memorial Library’s Sidewalk Book Sale. Grab the kids and get to Pittston Saturday evening for an outdoor movie featuring Pixar’s Onward.

It wouldn’t be a true NEPA weekend without a little activity. Hit the river on Saturday for a paddle from Harding to Pittston. And finish it all off with a tour at SBC and a cold beer. On Sunday, dust off the bike and brace yourself for a long day of grinding at the Freewheeling at Forks Farm event.

    Thursday, Aug. 27, Friday, Aug. 28 & Saturday, Aug. 29 at 6:30 p.m.

    Head to Penn’s Peak in Jim Thorpe for their free, live concert series at the famed venue. The weekend shows feature popular local bands in an occupancy-limited setting. Events are open to up to 250 attendees.
