NEPA has tons of concerts, outdoor activities, and festivals to keep you busy this weekend
The Peach Music Festival will take over Montage Mountain from Thursday through Sunday. The festival was founded by the Allman Brothers and features over 50 blues rock and roots rock artists. The WhiskeyKillers will perform a blend of country, blues, and rock tunes at Honesdale’s Steampunk Ball on Friday night. On Saturday, head to Furnace Frenzy to see Dirty Heads and an awesome alt-rock lineup.
Downtown Wilkes-Barre will be a hub of activity on Friday. Go bargain hunting at the 3rd Annual Small Business Christmas in July event. Local shops and restaurants will offer special deals all day. In the evening, browse the vendors and galleries at the Third Friday Art Walk.
Get outdoors and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air this weekend! Pamper your pooch on Saturday morning at Doga in the Park, a dog-friendly yoga class at Hillside Park. On Saturday afternoon, reconnect with nature at Tunkhannock River Day, a festival featuring environmental presentations, kayaking, and live music.

ALT 92.1 Furnace Frenzy
Rock out with ALT 92.1 at Furnace Frenzy, an all-ages show at the Iron Furnaces in Scranton. The reggae-rock band Dirty Heads is headlining. Special guests include Jukebox The Ghost, lovelytheband, L.I.F.T., Brother Sundance, and Morgan Saint. The show starts at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
The Peach Music Festival
Jam out at the Peach Music Festival at Montage Mountain. This four-day festival features over 50 rock acts, including Gov’t Mule, Phil Lesh and The Terrapin Family Band, and Joe Russo’s Almost Dead. On-site camping is available. The Peach Music Festival starts on Thursday and continues through Sunday.
Third Friday Art Walk
Check out gallery exhibits, live music, food trucks, and craft vendors at Wilkes-Barre’s Third Friday Art Walk. The Art Block on South Main Street will be the center of activity. Stop by the Sordoni Art Gallery to see the Tape Art Crew create a mural out of painter’s tape. The fun starts on Friday at 5 p.m.
3rd Annual Small Business Christmas in July
Over 50 local businesses will offer special deals and discounts this Friday at Wilkes-Barre’s Small Business Christmas in July event. Most of the participating shops and restaurants are right on Public Square and Main Street. The event runs all day. While you’re downtown, check out exhibits and vendors at the Third Friday Art Walk.
Food Truck Friday at Nay Aug Park
Enjoy dinner and live music at Food Truck Friday at Nay Aug Park. Eight local food trucks will serve your favorite fair foods with a gourmet twist. Food Truck Friday begins at 5 p.m. at the pavilion between the Everhart Museum and the McNulty Greenhouse.
Tunkhannock River Day
Celebrate the Susquehanna River at Tunkhannock River Day. This free festival honors all things nature-related with environmental programs, kayaking, live music, wildlife presentations, children’s activities, and food vendors. Join the fun at Riverside Park on Saturday at 1 p.m.
The WhiskeyKillers will perform American roots music at the Steampunk Ball at the Cooperage Project in Honesdale. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. It kicks off the Steampunk Honesdale festival, a weekend of costume contests, train rides, historical presentations, and more.
