In Need of Weekend Plans? Look No Further

Spend your Friday night jamming out at Wilkes-Barre City’s Rockin’ the River event. Enjoy free live entertainment from MiZ, a Scranton folk rock singer, and The National Reserve, a Brooklyn-based Americana group. The music continues with the Wyoming Seminary Creative Arts program’s Celebration of Billy Joel. Watch as students make Joel’s hits their own through song, dance and theater.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Mahoning Drive-In Theater. The Drive-In’s Christmas in July event features Christmas favorites Home Alone and Home Alone 2 back to back. Get fresh produce, homemade baked goods and more at the Lackawanna Summer Market. Then head over to the Electric City Aquarium’s Wine Under the Waves event for tastings and views from the ocean.

Take on the Lehigh River with Whitewater Challengers in Weatherly and treat yourself to a Mexican themed dinner after. Watch battle reenactments and demonstrations at Berwick’s 4th Annual WWII Weekend. The event also features live entertainment and a military flea market.

Relax and unwind this Sunday afternoon. Nay Aug Park in Scranton is hosting its weekly Sunday Concert featuring the Von Storch Septet. Sip on wine and spirits from nine wineries and distilleries at the Uncorked Wine and Spirits Festival. Proceeds will benefit The Cooperage Project and Lacawac Sanctuary.
