NEPA is hosting live entertainment, fun festivals, and one of the world’s largest paintball games this weekend!

NEPA’s arts and culture scene is taking center stage this weekend. It all starts on Friday night with the Pittston City Second Friday Art Walk. Local artists will take over Main Street and display their latest work. The Ritz Company Playhouse in Hawley will perform the hilarious musical Anything Goes on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. On Sunday, catch some traditional folk music at Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm’s Music in the Valley event.

Festival season is in full swing! If you’re a film buff, head to the Dietrich Theater in Tunkhannock for their Summer Film Festival Opening Night Gala on Friday. Shawnee Mountain Ski Area is hosting Oktoberfest in July on Saturday and Sunday. Enjoy a day of traditional German music, dancing, food, and beer. Soak up the summer vibes on Sunday at the Hazleton Summer Festival, which will have plenty of food and craft vendors.

If you’re up for an adventure, Skirmish Paintball’s Invasion of Normandy event will get your heart pounding! Join over 4,000 players for the battle on Saturday and Sunday.

    Main Street in Pittston will be jam-packed with artists, merchants, and musicians at the Second Friday Art Walk. Take a stroll around town, check out the art exhibits, and grab a bite from the food vendors. They’ll even have crafts for the kids. This free event begins on Friday at 5 p.m.

    Join Skirmish Paintball in Albrightsville as they re-create the Invasion of Normandy . Over 4,000 players will battle it out, making it the world’s largest scenario game. Check-in starts on Saturday and Sunday at 8:30 a.m. Camping is available on site so you won’t miss a minute of the action.

    The Dietrich Theater in Tunkhannock is holding their annual Summer Film Festival. They’ll show 22 indie flicks and foreign films from July 13 through August 2. The festival kicks off with the Opening Night Gala on Friday at 6 p.m. Admission includes two films, snacks, wine, and beer. Reservations are required.
