Camping - NEPA - Things to Do - Northeastern Pennsylvania - DiscoverNEPA

Soak up the sunny days and fresh air this weekend!

Summer is in full swing, so it’s the perfect time for an outdoor adventure! You’ll have a blast on Friday at Pocono Whitewater’s Big Night Out. This action-packed evening features a guided hike, rafting trip, and bike ride at the Lehigh Gorge. Salt Springs State Park is hosting an adventure under the stars on Friday at their Full Moon Hike. For a refreshing start to your Saturday morning, head to Wilkes-Barre’s River Common for the free Riverfront Yoga class.

School’s out, so take some time to reconnect with the family. Take the kids to Nescopeck State Park on Friday morning for some messy (but totally fun) activities at their Mud Day celebration. On Sunday afternoon, join the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders for Family FUNday. They’ll offer activities and free meal vouchers for the kids.

It’s the peak season for fresh fruits and veggies, so check out a local farmers’ market this weekend. Visit the Stroudsburg Old Time Farmers Market on Saturday or the Milford Farmers Market on Sunday. Join the farm-to-table trend and pick up produce grown right here in NEPA.

Mark your calendars for:
