Have Some Warm Weather Fun with RailRiders Baseball, Live Music and Running Festivals All Weekend Long
Spring in NEPA means two things: festivals and baseball. Kick off your weekend in Downtown Pittston at the Second Friday Art Walk. Then, the RailRiders take on the Syracuse Mets in a series of games. On Sunday, arrive at PNC Field in style with the help of the Electric City Trolley Museum and Station’s Trolley Baseball Excursion. While you’re on the mountain, hit the Pavilion at Montage for the Lackawanna County Giveback on the Mountain Musicfest.
Get the adrenaline pumping with high energy events. WWE Friday Night SmackDown brings your favorite champions to the Mohegan Sun Arena to battle for titles. And Whitewater Rafting Adventures kicks off the season with their 1st Whitewater Dam Release of 2022.
Test your endurance at classic races and running festivals. The Jim Thorpe Area Running Festival brings runners from across NEPA to Jim Thorpe for a whole weekend of scenic trail running. The Wyoming Valley Striders celebrate 30 years of their Spring Trail Run at Frances Slocum State Park.
Live entertainment gets weird with the help of Weird Al Yankovic as he brings the Return of the Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour to the F.M. Kirby Center. Meanwhile, the Mauch Chunk Opera House parties like it’s 1999 with Dean Ford & The Beautiful Ones’ tribute to Prince.
