Get Out for a Little Springtime Fun This Weekend with Farmers' Markets, Tribute Bands, Bike Rides and So Much More

Start your weekend with an exotic dinner at the always gorgeous Glass- in Hawley on Friday night. Get to Forty Fort early on Saturday morning for the “Do it For the Kids” Walk-A-Thon to help out the Wyoming Valley Children’s Association. Then, on Sunday, stop by The Arts Barn in Schuylkill Haven for their adorable Kid’s Honeybee Craft event.

Make your way to the iconic Penn’s Peak concert venue in Jim Thorpe on Friday night for an evening with Green River, a spot-on tribute to CCR and John Fogerty. Pack up the kids and head down to the Bloomsburg Children’s Museum on Saturday for the epic Mini-Maker Faire. And, save room for a few laughs on Sunday night as nationally-renowned comedian, Robert Kelly takes the Mauch Chunk Opera House stage.

Dust off the old bike and get to ShawneeCraft Brewing Company in Shawnee on the Delaware on Saturday for their 16-mile Bike N Brew cruise. Don’t forget to fill up on farm-fresh goodies on Saturday morning at the Main Street Farmers Market in Honesdale. And, if you’re into film, check out the Northeastern Pennsylvania Film Festival all weekend at the famous Ritz Theater in Scranton.

Don’t miss the opportunity to explore the scenic Lehigh Gorge Trail by train and bike on this easy, 25-mile excursion from Jim Thorpe to White Haven and back. The Bike Train runs trips on Saturday and Sunday.
