Spring fever is in the air. Kick off the first weekend of April with these awesome events!
Sunny days and warmer weather mean that it’s time to get back outdoors. If you’re up for a challenge, dust off your sneakers and take on the Scranton Half Marathon on Sunday. On Saturday, join the Walk to End Epilepsy at PNC Field. Every step counts as they search for a cure.
Catch a live show this weekend. Nickelodeon’s Double Dare Live is coming to the F.M. Kirby Center on Friday. Based on the 80’s game show, this event will invite audience members to compete in messy (but totally fun) challenges. Broadway comes to the NEPA stage on Sunday with Kinky Boots at the Kirby Center and the Broadway Memories revue at Stroudsmoor Country Inn.
Art walks are a sure sign that spring is here. Stroll around town and check out local businesses at First Friday Scranton and First Friday Hazleton. These events are full of live music, art displays, and family fun. Stroudsburg’s First Saturday Art Walks also start up for the season this weekend. And if you’ve been thinking about getting some new ink, or perhaps your first tattoo, you have to stop by the 10th a Annual Electric City Tattoo Convention. All weekend long the Hilton Scranton & Conference Center will host over 150 amazing tattoo artists, vendors and events.
