ShawneeCraft Brewing Co. is celebrating their tenth year in business with a Birthday Bash on Saturday. Party the night away with live music, food trucks, and bar games (time to prove that you’re a beer pong master). Stick around for giveaways and prizes. The party kicks off at 6:30 p.m.
Electric City Escape is creating an escape room at Susquehanna Brewing Co. on Friday. You’ll have 30 minutes to find the clues and save the brewery. Beat the clock and treat yourself to a cold one. The event will follow a live broadcast of the Free Beer & Hot Wings radio show. The event is first come, first served. Escape rooms start at 11 a.m. and continue until 2 p.m.
Puttin' on the Ritz
Join Cooper’s Seafood House and Leadership Lackawanna for Puttin’ on the Ritz this Sunday. Test your trivia skills, enjoy happy hour specials, and try your luck at the raffles. Proceeds benefit the Poli Historic Gallery project at the Ritz Theater. The party starts at 1 p.m.
Penguins Star Wars Night
The Pens are taking Saturday’s home game out of this world with their annual Star Wars Night. The players will put on their Star Wars-themed jerseys and take on the Springfield Thunderbirds. After the game, they’ll auction off jerseys to benefit the Allied Services Foundation. It’s also Boy Scout Night, so they’ll offer special tickets and patches for Scouts. The puck drops at 7 p.m.
Girardville St. Patrick's Day Parade
St. Patty’s Day is a month-long celebration here in NEPA. Squeeze in one last celebration with the Girardville St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday. They’ll honor the town’s Irish culture and history with bands, floats, and more. The parade begins at noon at the corner of Main Street and Fourth Street.
Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The King and I
Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The King and I is coming to the Scranton Cultural Center this weekend. This beloved Broadway musical follows the unconventional relationship between a British schoolteacher and the King of Siam. The curtain rises at 8 p.m. on Friday, 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturday, and 1 p.m. on Sunday.
OurSELF and HerSELF at the Everhart
Visit OurSELF and HerSELF, the newest exhibits at the Everhart Museum. OurSELF is an interactive display that explores mental and emotional health. HerSELF showcases the powerful artwork of Amy Kiser. The exhibits will be on display until April 29. The museum is opens at noon on Friday and Sunday and 10 a.m. on Saturday.
Open Mic Night at the Sherman Showcase
Take the stage at Open Mic Night at the Sherman Showcase on Sunday. All acts are welcome, including music, performance poetry, dance, and anything in between. Come show off your talent or just kick back and watch the show. Sign-ups begin at 6:30 p.m. and performances start at 7 p.m.
Designer Bingo at the Music Box
Get ready to win big at the Music Box Dinner Playhouse. They’re hosting Designer Bingo on Sunday.
