Spread the Love this Weekend with Date Night Excursions & More Winter Fun
Celebrate Valentine’s Day early this year. Between special dinners, live entertainment and winter events, there is plenty of love to go around. Enjoy a night out at one of NEPA’s unique Valentine’s dining experiences. Valentine’s Dinner Theater at Silver Birches combines great food and live theatre. PNC Field is hosting a Valentine’s Dinner overlooking the home of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. And Galentine’s Make + Take is ideal for taking a few of your besties on a date to Mattern’s Floral Café.
Brave the cold for a chilly race or two. Shiver by the River at the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail is the perfect event for runners of all ages. And the Finding Traction 5K is back at Blue Mountain Resort for a bit of winter fun.
The Mohegan Sun Arena is the place to be this weekend, with sporting events that will have you on the edge of your seat. Of course, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will take to the ice with a match against the Belleville Senators. And the Harlem Globetrotters return to NEPA with a ton of new tricks up their sleeves.
Live entertainment is always a great excuse for a date night. This weekend, country star Randy Houser makes his Penn’s Peak debut. If you’re in the mood to revisit some classics, Fleetwood Mac tribute Tusk hits the stage at Mauch Chunk Opera House. And the incredible artistry of the Harlem Renaissance comes to life through the Tony Award-winning Ain’t Misbehavin’ at The Ritz Theater.
