Get Your Winter On this Weekend with Skiing, Ice Skating and a Chilly Polar Plunge
Hit the ice this Friday and Saturday at the Revolution Ice Centre in Pittston for their awesome, glow-in-the-dark Cosmic Skate. Make a date with your tiny artist on Saturday at Spirited Art Scranton during their popular Preschool Picasso program. Then, head to the Pocono Environmental Education Center in Dingmans Ferry on Sunday morning for an Intro to Snowshoeing.
Enjoy a hilarious live, virtual performance and donate to a great cause at the same time as local funny man, Shawn Wickens delivers his latest creation, The Best 10 Minutes of My Life. Stop by Mauch Chunk Lake Park in Jim Thorpe on Saturday for the 8th Annual Polar Plunge. Of course, you could always spend your Sunday shredding down the mountain on skis, on a board or in a tube at the “Ski For The B” Winter Snowcial at Montage Mountain Resorts.
And don’t forget, NEPA’s parks are open all season for long, winter weekend hikes, cross country skiing and more. Our ski slopes are having a great winter with cold weather and plenty of fresh snow. And when all is said and done, warm up with a hot meal at one of NEPA’s incredible, local restaurants.
