NEPA Weekend Round-Up 01.22.21

Celebrate the Weekend with a Winter Hike and a Search for Some Truly Artsy Snowmen

Dust off those old ice skates and bring the kids along to the Revolution Ice Centre in Pittston for a little glow-in-the-dark Cosmic Ice Skating all weekend. Keep up those chill vibes while shredding down the slopes at one of NEPA’s awesome ski resorts. And, if you want to slow it down a bit, head to the Pocono Environmental Education Center in Dingmans Ferry and try your hand (or foot) at snowshoeing.

NEPA’s state and local parks are at their frosty best this time of year. Get up early on Saturday or Sunday for a refreshing winter hike. Or, make your way back down to the always scenic Dingmans Ferry for an educational Winter Ecology Hike. And when you’re all tuckered out from the hiking, grab some delicious local takeout and hit the couch.

Spend your Saturday strolling the Main Street Farmers Market at the Cooperage in Honesdale. Then, make your way to Downtown Stroudsburg and search for their famous, artsy snowmen. And on the way home, stop at one of NEPA’s cozy restaurants for a hearty, soul-warming dinner.

Of course, you could always waste the weekend bouncing from café to coffee shop on a quest for NEPA’s best cup of hot chocolate.
