Beat the Cold with Live Shows and Beautiful Winter Scenery this Weekend

This weekend has plenty to look forward to when it comes to winter fun. Kick it off with some laughs as comedians take to the stage at Wise Crackers and the Hotel Anthracite, or take the family to Revolution Ice Centre for Cosmic Skate. In between, there is a little something for everyone.

Don’t miss beautiful, chilly scenery while it lasts. Get outside and learn to snowshoe at the Pocono Environmental Education Center. Hop on the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway for a quick trip around Jim Thorpe’s natural landmarks. And catch wildlife in action on an Eagle Watch Bus Tour at the Van Scott Nature Reserve.

As per usual on a winter weekend, live entertainment can be found all across the area. Take the kids to the F.M. Kirby Center for Dinosaur World Live. Then go out for a date night at Penn’s Peak with Double Vision: The Foreigner Experience.

Winter sports are also in full swing. You can catch the Penguins at the Mohegan Sun Arena with two matches this weekend. And when the birds win, celebrate at Iron Hart Brewing with seasonal beverages and delicious food at Winterfest.
