Open the New Year with a Brisk Winter Hike and One Last Look at Those Awesome Holiday Lights
Welcome 2021 with a little wintry fun on Friday during the Evergreen Trail Hike at Ricketts Glen. Stay bundled up for a stunning twilight stroll along the Delaware River at Shawnee Inn’s popular Christmas Light Walk. Then, stop in Downtown Scranton for a little shopping, some takeout and their ultra-festive Holiday Window Showcase.
This weekend is your last chance to catch all the fascinating holiday lights displays throughout NEPA. Start with a visit to a pair of outrageously decorated houses. Scranton’s South Side features the famous Christmas Lights House. From there, make your way to the equally adorable Peckville Christmas House.
You also have one last opportunity to visit some of the season’s most beloved drive-thru holiday displays. Stop by Knoebels for their crowd-pleasing Joy Through the Grove experience. Make your way to Marywood University for the incredible Light Up Campus display. And then, enjoy the popular Holiday Lights Spectacular at Scranton’s Nay Aug Park.
If you just don’t feel like leaving the house, you can always check out the Virtual Holly Trail as it takes you into some of Pottsville’s most historic and most beautifully decorated homes.
