Meet the Finalists of the 2020 Young Professionals Awards

We’re teaming up with community partners all over Northeastern Pennsylvania to bring you a closer look at what makes our amazing counties, cities, towns and villages so unique. Keep your eye on this space for regular contributions from local organizations, visitors’ bureaus, tourism boards, chambers and so much more.

Join the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber as they recognize NEPA’s best and brightest young professionals.

The Young Professionals Awards recognize amazing rising stars who are helping to move our region forward. Every year, young professionals in our community are nominated for one of nine award categories. Additionally, the Young Professional Development Award is given to a company in our area that invests in developing and growing young talent in NEPA. The top three finalists are recognized at a special awards ceremony, where the category winners are announced and awarded live.

For everyone’s safety, this year’s event will look a little bit different. On September 23, the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber will host a socially-distant awards program at the Garden Drive-In in Hunlock Creek. All social distancing and health and safety guidelines will be followed. In addition to the program, there will be a live band, drive-up refreshments and a movie following the program that night.

Come celebrate all of the finalists and watch the live announcement of the category winners from the safety of your own car. Tickets are $40 per person. Gates will open at 6 p.m., with the live program starting at sundown.

You can visit the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber website to register and stay up to date on all of the things we’re doing to keep you safe at this fun in-person event!
