Beat the winter blues and cure that cabin fever! Mother Nature can’t stand in your way from having a blast at NEPA’s indoor waterparks, where it always feels like summer. We have four parks right here in the Poconos, including Kalahari Resorts, the largest indoor waterpark in America.

Each park is packed with activities for the entire family. Grab a tube and soar through the twists and turns on the waterslides. Take it easy and float down the lazy river or relax by the wave pool. There are plenty of play areas to keep the little ones busy for hours.

Pack your swimsuits and treat the family to a winter getaway. Whether you visit for the day or spend the night, a trip to an indoor waterpark makes the perfect NEPA stay-cation.


Kalahari Resorts & Conventions

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions - Pocono Mountains - DiscoverNEPA

At 220,000 square feet, Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Pocono Manor is America’s largest indoor waterpark. The park will take you on an African adventure with their safari-themed rides and play areas. You’re sure to catch an adrenaline rush on the slides, which can reach speeds up to 40 miles per hour. Test your surfing skills on the flowrider or relax in the lazy river. Adults can kick back at the swim-up bar.

Day passes are available, but when you see all that Kalahari has to offer, you’ll want to stay the night! In addition to the waterpark, they also have indoor mini golf, bowling, escape rooms, a virtual reality arena, a spa, and a fitness area.

Kalahari is open year-round. Come back in the summer to visit their outdoor waterpark and the Gorilla Grove ropes course and zip lines.


Camelback Resort Lodge and Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark

An award-winning waterpark is right in your backyard! USA Today named Aquatopia at Camelback Resort the best indoor waterpark in the nation in their 10Best Reader’s Choice Travel Awards. This explorer-themed waterpark features over a dozen slides and seven pools.

Be sure to ride Storm Chaser, which is cross between a water slide and a roller coaster. You’re sure to scream at Paradise Plunge, a free-fall body slide that will send you plummeting down a 60-foot vertical drop. Kids of all ages can go on an adventure through the enormous interactive play area.

Waterpark admission is included when you book a room. Guests have easy access to Camelback’s ski slopes and other amenities like the arcade, indoor mini golf course, laser tag, and rock climbing. Day passes are also available and must be booked a day in advance.


Great Wolf Lodge

Gather up your pack and head to Great Wolf Lodge in Scotrun. This indoor waterpark features 20 family-friendly attractions. It’s a great option for families with younger kids, who will love the play areas, kiddie pools, and character visits. There’s plenty for teens and adults too, like the epic Hydro Plunge roller coaster slide. Some of their slides are four stories tall!

While you’re there, check out the arcade, XD movie theater, indoor mini golf, and spas for kids and adults. For even more fun, book a camping-themed room complete with a tent for the kids.

Great Wolf Lodge does not offer day passes.


H2ooohh! Indoor Waterpark

H2ooohh! Indoor Waterpark at Split Rock Resort is packed with rides and slides, including some that are four stories tall. Surf’s up at the flowrider wave simulator. They also have plenty of attractions geared toward younger children, like the jungle-themed play area and the wave pool.

H2oooh! is open on weekends, and day passes are available. Resort guests also get access to amenities like the in-house movie theater and bowling alley.
