Family Fun in April 2021

Springtime Fun Is in Full Bloom

We’ve officially rounded the corner—the chilly March days and surprise snow flurries are behind us, and the warm weather and sunshine are here to stay. So long to all those boring days cooped up inside, because NEPA’s favorite outdoor activities are starting back up, from the first whitewater trip of the season to the return of the wildly popular Bike Train. And summer’s on the horizon with Opening Day at Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg. Hey, even the parents have to hop on the Phoenix for old times’ sake.

Get out there with springtime hikes, visits to your local park and family fishing trips all month long. And when the inevitable April showers come around, you can still keep the kids busy with children’s cooking classes, craft sessions, virtual programs and more.

Celebrate springtime with these safe, socially distant events for the whole family. Each venue has different capacity limits and safety procedures, so make sure to check their websites before you head out.
