When summer starts drawing to a close, the fun is just getting started at NEPA’s county fairs.
The colorful lights of the midway, the smell of fresh-cut fries, and the roaring engines at a tractor pull can only mean one thing: it’s county fair season in NEPA.
NEPA’s county fairs are all about classic country fun, from 4-H shows and rodeos to carnival rides and blue-ribbon pies. They showcase the best animals, crafts, food, and vendors the area has to offer.
Bring your appetite! The food is one of the best parts of fair season. You’ll find just about any deep-fried delicacy you can think of. You can’t resist a crispy funnel cake or an order of sizzling potato pancakes. And don’t forget summertime favorites like corn on the cob, root beer floats, and fresh-squeezed lemonade.
County fairs offer affordable entertainment for the entire family. The kids (and the young at heart) can have some high-flying fun on the rides or try their luck at the game booths. There’s live entertainment around the clock, like concerts, magic shows, circus acts, animal shows, and demolition derbies.
Gather the family and load your pockets with tickets. We’ve rounded up enough county fairs to keep you busy throughout August and September.
