Home-Grown and Fresh-Picked
The Co-Op Farmer’s Market in Scranton has been providing NEPA with fresh, local products since 1939.
When a group of Scranton farmers came together and first formed the market, they envisioned a different kind of marketplace. They believed in the importance of fresh, quality products, and over 80 years later this still holds true. The Co-Op Farmer’s Market is a grow-your-own market, meaning every product is bought directly from the farmer that grew it. Quality produce, affordable prices and friendly service are what have kept shoppers returning to The Co-Op again and again.
The Co-Op consists of over forty unique vendors. Shoppers at the market can find a bounty of seasonal, fresh picked fruits and vegetables, jams and jellies, and fresh cut and potted flowers. The market also features plenty of specialty items that you might not be able to find anywhere else. Find fresh-baked bread and bakery treats, homemade soaps and essential oils, and even wine made from Pennsylvania grapes.
When you shop at The Co-Op, not only are you getting fresh, high-quality products, but you’re also supporting your local farmers. Every stand at the market is owned and operated by NEPA based farmers. It doesn’t get any fresher than that, and the difference is in the taste.
