Celebrate the Fourth with Fireworks, Parades & Carnivals
The Fourth of July marks the height of summer—the peak for backyard barbecues, pool parties and lazy afternoons by the lake. But beyond the cookouts and sparklers, it’s a day to honor the stars and stripes. Here in NEPA, we’re celebrating with patriotic events all across the region.
Of course, it’s just not the Fourth without fireworks. No matter where you are in NEPA, you won’t be too far from a spectacular fireworks show this holiday weekend. Spread out a blanket in the grass, kick back and watch dazzling displays light up the night sky. The fun continues all weekend long with parades, outdoor concerts, festivals and more.

Abington Rotary Annual Fireworks Display
July 1 at 5 p.m.
Enjoy an evening of food vendors and fireworks at Abington Heights Middle School in Clarks Summit. The rain date is July 2.

Eastburg's Big Bang Fireworks
July 1 at 5:30 p.m.
Between live music from Pocono Duo and an evening of fireworks, Eastburg’s Big Bang offers a night of family-friendly Fourth of July fun.

United States Army Field Band & Soldiers' Chorus Present "America the Beautiful!"
July 1 at 7 p.m.
The Scranton Cultural Center presents a special Independence Day performance from the U.S. Army Field Band’s oldest and largest components. The concert will feature iconic American songs to celebrate the Fourth.

City of Nanticoke: Big Bang
July 2 at 2 p.m.
Luzerne County Community College hosts Nanticoke’s Big Bang celebration. An afternoon of games, raffles and local bands lead up to fireworks at dusk. The rain date is July 3.

Red White & Brews Festival
July 2 at 2 p.m.
Groove Brewing in Scranton celebrates the Fourth with live music, Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream and, of course, a great beer selection.

70th Anniversary Fireworks and Movie Spectacular
July 2 at 4 p.m.
There’s so much to celebrate at the Garden Drive-In this weekend between the theater’s 70th anniversary and the Fourth of July. On top of the evening’s movies, the drive-in will have music, family activities and food. The rain date is July 9.

Independence Day Fireworks Celebration
July 2 at 4 p.m.
Throughout the day, you’ll find food trucks, games and live music at Louis Schiavo City View Park in Hazleton. Fireworks begin at 9:45 p.m. Be sure to bring your chairs and blankets.

Wright Township Fireworks
July 2 at 5 p.m.
Wright Township Park will throw an Independence Day celebration with local food vendors, kids’ activities and a fireworks display. You won’t want to miss this party in the park. The rain date is July 5.

North Pocono Firework Extravaganza
July 2 at 6 p.m.
The North Pocono Minisink Lions Club celebrates their 30th Annual Firework Extravaganza. Head to the North Pocono Football Stadium in Moscow for food, refreshments, live music and fireworks. The rain date is July 9.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders Fourth of July Game
July 2 at 6:05 p.m.
Celebrate Independence Day with America’s favorite pastime. Cheer for the RailRiders as they take on the Buffalo Bisons and stick around for a post-game fireworks extravaganza.

Honesdale Fireworks
July 2 at 6:30 p.m.
Celebrate the Fourth in Honesdale’s Central Park. The evening starts with a free concert featuring The Doug Smith Band and The Crystal Band. Then, a fireworks display will light up the sky at dusk. The rain date is July 3.

Scrantastic Spectacular
July 3 at 4 p.m.
Downtown Scranton’s popular fireworks show is back this Fourth of July. Enjoy fun and festivities on Courthouse Square all afternoon. Get in the spirit with a live performance from the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic, followed by fireworks over the Electric City.

Tunkhannock Rotary Club's Fireworks
July 3 at 6 p.m.
The Tunkhannock Rotary Club will host their firework display at Tunkhannock High School, complete with live music from Popstar Drive and food provided by the school’s senior class. Admission is free, but donations are welcome. The rain date is July 5.

Anthracite Philharmonic
July 3 at 6 p.m.
The Anthracite Philharmonic will put on a patriotic concert for the whole family. They will perform “In Honor,” a tribute to those that served, at the historic Yuengling Mansion in Pottsville. This event is sponsored by the Schuylkill County Council for the Arts.

Fourth of July Celebration at Skytop Lodge
July 3 at 6:30 p.m. & July 4 at 11 a.m.
On July 3rd, Skytop Lodge will launch their annual fireworks display, which is open to the public. On the 4th, the celebration continues on the South Lawn with a carnival and plenty of family fun.

39th Annual Bernie's Run
July 4 at 8:30 a.m.
This three-mile run/walk through downtown Wilkes-Barre has been an Independence Day tradition since 1984. Join the Wilkes-Barre Family YMCA and start your Fourth on the right foot.

RingGold Pops Orchestra at Nay Aug Park
July 4 at 10:30 a.m.
Nay Aug Park’s weekly summer concert series will get a patriotic twist this weekend with the help of the RingGold Pops Orchestra. This show is free and open to the public.

Old-Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration
July 4 at 12 p.m.
Spend the Fourth at Kirby Park. During the day, check out rides, games and food from local vendors. When night falls, enjoy a performance by the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic and a spectacular fireworks display.

Annual Hawley Borough Independence Day Parade
July 4 at 12 p.m.
Salute the stars and stripes at Hawley’s Independence Day Parade, led by the American Legion Post 311. The parade kicks off at Riverside Park, continues through town and ends at Bingham Park.

July 4th Fireworks at Camelbeach
July 4 at 6 p.m.
Catch an incredible firework display at Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark in Tannersville. With delicious food and live music from M80 leading up to the show, you won’t want to miss this celebration.

Fireworks Over Lake Wallenpaupack
July 4 at 9:30 p.m.
The Chamber of the Northern Poconos presents a fireworks display on Lake Wallenpaupack. Seating and parking are available at Wallenpaupack High School. The rain date is July 5.

Yuengling Stars & Stripes Celebration with Lee Brice
July 9 at 11 a.m.
The iconic Yuengling Brewery in Pottsville will celebrate the Fourth in style. The Stars & Stripes Celebration honors military veterans with a day of Yuengling brews, food and a free concert from country music star Lee Brice.
