Start the Year Right with Winter Sports, Live Entertainment and New Adventures This January
The cold is officially here to stay, so why not make the most if it? With the holiday rush out of the way, January gives us the chance to truly enjoy all that winter has to offer. For the daredevils out there, hurtling down the side of a mountain at one of the area’s many ski resorts is the perfect way to experience the season. Or, slow things down with a peaceful hike at a snow-covered state park. No matter your preferred pace, January in NEPA has a little something for everyone.
Stay strong this month and keep your resolutions (or just try your best) with the help of local businesses. Become your most healthy self at a gym or fitness center. Spend wisely at a small shop or boutique. Maybe even adopt a new hobby or two.
For those that can’t handle the crisp weather, no worries. There are plenty of ways to have some winter fun while keeping warm. Check out live music and theatre at a cool local venue. Head to an indoor waterpark and pretend it’s June instead of January. Or observe the snowy scenery from the comfort of a cozy café or restaurant.
The start of a new year means the start of new adventures, and it can be hard to keep up! Stay up to date with our comprehensive NEPA events calendar. And if you need a guide, here’s a list of a few can’t miss January events.
