Celebrate with Shopping, Music, Movies and Holiday Festivities all December Long

Round out 2020 with this list of classic holiday fun in December.

With autumn on its last legs and all those Thanksgiving leftovers still in the fridge, I guess it’s officially here – the countdown to our favorite winter holidays. Now, before we get all stressed over blown out Christmas lights and endless shopping lists, let’s maybe squeeze in a hike.

Let’s forget the long check-out lines and head to a small downtown shop. Don’t waste another minute planning a big holiday meal when you can hit up a local restaurant for inspiration. Load up that festive bar cart with NEPA wine and handcrafted spirits. Then, stock that fridge with brewery-fresh, local beer. Of course, you’ll need a little break here and there. Go ahead and lose a Sunday in a cozy coffee shop.

For some, December tends to bring things to an end, not us though. No way. In NEPA, before the calendar even says it’s time to do so, we’re on the lookout for winter fun. We’re praying for snow and gearing up to hit the slopes. It’s also the perfect time for a scenic stroll in one of our gorgeous parks. We’ve got so many things to do and places to see, we’ll be busy until spring.

If it’s happening in Northeastern Pennsylvania, you’ll find it at DiscoverNEPA. Stay in the know with our comprehensive events calendar. And, if you still need a little help finding local fun, check out this convenient can’t miss list.
